Case Manager for Skilled Nursing Facility

Full Time 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday – Friday
Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand the insurance process including prior authorizations, length of stay & discharge planning
• Review daily censuses for admissions, payer changes & discharges
• Review & submit clinical updates to the insurance daily via fax & portal
• Handle a high volume of incoming & outgoing calls
• Respond to multiple emails & voicemails daily
• Participate in virtual Utilization Review Meetings
• Request highest level of reimbursement 
• Monitor & communicate insurance denials such as NOMNC & end of service to patients
• Request prior authorizations from the insurance
• Send appeal on denials
• Document all communications thoroughly throughout the day
• Navigate through preparatory software’s & other web-based medical software’s

Requirements:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Friendly & good customer service skills
• Knowledge in insurance verification & eligibility a plus
• Basic Medical Terminology a plus
• Healthcare experience a plus
• Organized & strong attention to details
• Punctual & good time management
